The Turkey Tail mushroom is a common polypore fungus (meaning its fruiting body is porous on its underside). This type of mushroom can be found in locations all around the world in areas featuring decaying hardwood matter. Its striking appearance features shelf-like structures containing colorful rings of reds, oranges, browns and greens. Turkey Tail has been used in traditional medicine in China for hundreds of years, with recorded use as far back as the 15th century. • Use BLACK GOLD GROW BLOCK or BLACK GOLD SUBSTRATE for all black-tipped syringes. All “BLACK GOLD” products are designed for compost and dung-loving mushroom varieties. “BLACK GOLD” products will come in black packaging and will be clearly labeled for use with black-tipped syringe specimens.

• Use FOREST GOLD GROW BLOCK or FOREST GOLD HARDWOOD SUBSTRATE for all clear/white-tipped syringes. All “FOREST GOLD” products are designed for hardwood-loving mushroom varieties. “FOREST GOLD” products will come in white packaging and will be clearly labeled for use with clear/white-tipped syringe specimens.
